We administer an initial test to understand each child’s personal learning characteristics. We then use this information to tailor and optimize their learning process.
We focus on learning-related activities but also identify other app categories (e.g., gaming, social media, messaging) to better understand your child’s overall digital habits.
We do not monitor in-app activities unless the app is specifically set as learning-related.
We identify learning content through our pre-trained AI integrated into the Desktop App.
You or your child can manage learning resources in the Desktop App (installed on your child’s PC) by going to Settings > Add or Remove Learning Resources. You will receive an email notification whenever the list of learning resources is updated
You can set or update an optimal home-learning schedule under Settings > Learning Settings in the Parent App.
We currently offer three types of notifications:
Current Eye Strain – Reminds the child to take a break and reduce eye strain.
Fatigue in Learning Session – Suggests a rest break to regain energy.
Distractions – Encourages the child to refocus on learning.
These notifications help your child maintain healthier study habits and stay engaged.
Occasionally, this may happen. If our local AI on your child’s PC fails to recognize a particular website as a learning resource, we can send the website’s URL to a third-party AI for further classification. Sometimes, inaccuracies occur, especially if the website is not widely recognized or lacks sufficient web annotations.
To remove an old or duplicate device, open Add or Remove Devices in the Settings menu of the Parent App and follow the prompts. Currently, only one PC per child can be monitored.
Currently, we support English.
If your child uninstalls Advancify, you will receive an immediate notification.

The Daily Eye Strain Index indicates how much eye strain your child has experienced during the current day.
If your child spends extended periods in front of screens without breaks, the index will be higher.
Current Eye Strain refers to the level of eye strain at this very moment.
Harmful categories represent types of apps or activities that cause the most eye strain throughout the day (e.g., highly stimulating games, excessive social media use, etc.).
A learning session is any period during which our system detects your child viewing learning-related content on their PC.
Learning balance indicates how your child manages and balances time between digital activities and learning, taking into account factors like time management, scheduling, and eye strain.
The Engaged Rate reflects how involved and attentive your child was during various learning sessions. We also break it down by subject. A higher number means your child was more engaged.
Prioritization measures how effectively your child organizes and manages homework or study tasks alongside other digital activities, showing their ability to balance and manage time effectively.
To help establish good study habits, you can define an optimal period for home learning in Settings > Learning Settings within the Parent App. You can then track your child’s study habits during the time frames you set.
The Learning Quality Index indicates how diligently and attentively your child studied during the day, summarizing overall performance and focus levels.
Deep Learning is determined by our algorithms and shows periods of high concentration and focus during a learning session.
Our Learning Points briefly indicate how effectively your child has learned. They’re determined by multiple factors such as study time and engagement.
The higher the points, the more time and/or more engaged your child was in learning today.
No extra hardware is required beyond a standard webcam, which most computers already have. Our app automatically detects your webcam and requests permission to use it. Once granted, eye tracking will work automatically.
Our eye tracking operates during all learning sessions and intermittently switches on for short periods to check the current eye strain level.
No. We do not record or save any video from the PC’s webcam. Our eye-tracking technology only monitors your child’s eyes to detect fatigue, eye strain, or lack of focus. All data is processed locally on your child’s PC. We do not store or transmit any video data to our servers or third parties. Your child’s digital privacy is extremely important to us.
Yes. You may revoke the permission granted to the webcam at any time. However, Advancify’s features and services will not be available until you allow webcam access again.
Getting started is quick and easy. Just follow these steps:
Not at all. Both apps are easy to set up. Installation takes just a few minutes. If you need help at any point, our support team is ready to assist—just send us an email.
Yes. Your child must have a Windows or Mac computer for Advancify to work. You’ll use your smartphone (with the Parent App) to manage everything. Without a computer, monitoring and feedback features won’t be available.
Yes. The Advancify Parent App is available in the Apple App Store. It allows you to create your account, add child profiles, manage notifications, and track your child’s progress.
Yes. The Advancify Parent App is also available on Google Play. It includes all the same features as the iOS version—setup, management, notifications, and progress tracking.
Yes. We recommend being open with your child. Advancify is visible on their computer and meant to be a helpful tool, not a hidden tracker. When kids understand how it supports their learning and health, they’re more likely to cooperate.
Yes. The Desktop App works on both Windows and Mac. Just download the appropriate version from our website and install it on your child’s computer.
Advancify currently supports learning monitoring on Windows, Mac, and Android devices. That means your child can use Advancify not only on a computer, but also on an Android tablet or phone. iOS (Apple) devices like iPads and iPhones are not supported yet. You can still manage your child’s profile and view reports from the Parent App on both iOS and Android phones.
Partially. The core features work offline—eye tracking and activity monitoring happen locally. But you’ll need an internet connection to sync data to your Parent App, verify educational websites, and receive updates. For the best experience, we recommend staying online when possible.
During sign-up, we send a verification code to your email address. Simply enter this code into the designated field in the Advancify mobile app on your phone.
You can add another child by selecting Add or remove users in Settings, or by tapping Add Family Member on the main screen. Simply follow the on-screen instructions.
You can remove a child’s profile any time by going to Settings and selecting Add or Remove Users. Locate the child’s name, tap Remove, and confirm.
Please note that all data associated with that child’s profile will be deleted immediately and cannot be restored.
In the Parent App, go to Settings and choose Add or Remove Devices to add another device.
Our system automatically detects your local time zone, so there’s no need to change it manually.
You can reset or change your password from the Change Password option in Settings, or via the login page if you’ve forgotten your password.
Currently, you can’t change the email address linked to an existing account. If you want to use a different email address, you must create a new account.
To delete your account, go to Account in Settings/Profile details. Please note that this permanently removes all data—such as history and settings for all children and devices linked to your account—and cannot be undone.
Advancify helps your child learn more effectively by monitoring their study habits and providing real-time support. Using software and your child’s computer camera, Advancify tracks signs of fatigue, distraction, overload, or eye strain. When it detects any of these issues, it gently suggests what to do, like taking a break, refocusing, or reviewing material. This makes study time more productive and less stressful.
Advancify uses eye-tracking technology and intelligent algorithms to analyze your child’s behavior during study sessions. It monitors:
When it detects an issue, it sends a friendly notification suggesting your child:
These real-time nudges help your child stay motivated, focused, and mentally fresh throughout their study time.
Unlike typical educational tools, Advancify adjusts the learning experience based on your child’s real-time behavior. We’re currently the only platform that offers real-time, personalized feedback during learning. This approach helps improve focus, reduce fatigue, and significantly increase learning efficiency.
No. Advancify runs quietly in the background and only shows short, friendly notifications when necessary, like reminding your child to take a break or refocus. These messages are meant to improve focus and comfort, not interrupt learning. Most children get used to them quickly and even start responding proactively.
Not always. Core features like eye tracking and study monitoring run locally on your child’s PC. However, an internet connection is needed to sync data with the Parent App and for features like content classification. In short: it works offline, but works best with internet access.
Advancify is designed for children and teens aged roughly 9 to 18—anyone who uses a computer for learning. If your child is under 13, we require verified parental consent during setup (in line with COPPA regulations). Whether your child is in elementary school or high school, Advancify adapts to their learning style and needs.
Yes. Advancify works well with standard prescription glasses and typical indoor lighting. Anti-reflective lenses help, and we recommend avoiding very dark rooms. As long as your child’s face is reasonably well lit, the system can track eye movements accurately.
