Does monitoring continue if I close the widget?

Yes.

Closing or hiding the widget does not stop monitoring.

The widget is an interface for viewing your current status and accessing monitoring controls. Monitoring continues in the background unless you pause it, disable the camera, or fully quit Advancify.
